Driving, Lake Washington Floating Bridge.

Multi-frame DV composited image. April, 1999

When this image first appeared from within Photovista, I was electrified. I had no idea that Photovista could deal with this kind of input images. I had shot "realtime" video while driving and I decided to test Photovista's ability to stitch together a series of moving images into a single still. Except for trimming the top and bottom of the frame, this is exactly what PV produced. Linear elements make it difficult for Photovista to conceal its stitching, yet the seams are nearly invisible. You can see a slight problem on the dividing wall, just to the right of the white car and a similar problem in the farthest concrete wall directly in line with the expansion joint out my driver's window. Also, the horizon is a little wavy due to the camera not being level during the pan.
