Multi-frame composite DV image. April, 1999

A difficult subject for any photographic medium, let alone video, this backlit image was extremely contrasty. A polarizer and a one-stop neutral density filter reduce the brightness of the sky. Note that the sun is included in the frame. Without those two filters, this image would be impossible to photograph. I nearly froze my fingers off installing and adjusting the filters in the minus 20 degree C temperature.
